KNIGHT-TECH AI PRIVATE LIMITED

Terms and Conditions

These Terms govern your use of Knight, an AI-native research workspace operated by KNIGHT-TECH AI PRIVATE LIMITED.

Last updated: 27 September 2026

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By creating an account, being given access under a licence, or using Knight, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old, or use the service with permission from a parent, guardian, or authorised institution.

2. About Knight

Knight provides AI-assisted research workflows, including paper explanation, research idea exploration, citation-supported drafting, and document or project generation. Features and limits depend on the licence or trial that covers your account.

AI-generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You are responsible for verifying citations, claims, calculations, and all generated content before academic, professional, or publication use.

KNIGHT-TECH AI PRIVATE LIMITED does not guarantee publication, academic acceptance, grades, research novelty, factual correctness, or fitness for any particular purpose.

3. Your content and acceptable use

You may upload documents, prompts, and other content to use Knight. You must not upload illegal, infringing, confidential third-party, or restricted data unless you have the legal right and permission to do so.

You must not misuse the service, including account sharing beyond permitted use, scraping, reverse engineering, automated abuse, reselling access, or attempting to bypass plan limits or security controls.

4. Licences and pricing

Knight is licensed to institutions — universities, research institutions, labs and teams. The price of each licence is quoted for that institution, based on the number of users, expected usage and the term, and is set out in its written quote or agreement. There is no standard public price.

A licence grants its listed users access to the features and usage limits stated in the agreement for the agreed term. Individuals may create an account and use a free trial; continued access is provided under an institutional licence. We may change features or limits for future terms; changes within a paid term are made only as the agreement allows.

5. Payment and refunds

Licences are invoiced to the institution. Payment terms are those on the quote or invoice. We do not store card or UPI credentials; invoice numbers, payment references and payment status may be recorded for billing, support and fraud prevention.

Licence fees are non-refundable once access has been switched on, as set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. An amount paid in error, such as a duplicate payment of the same invoice, is returned once our records confirm it.

6. Digital delivery

Knight is a digital software-as-a-service product. There is no physical shipping. Access is provided through each user's account on the website once the licence is in place.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or if required for legal, security, or operational reasons. You may stop using the service at any time; an institution may decline to renew its licence as set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KNIGHT-TECH AI PRIVATE LIMITED and its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, research outcomes, academic results, or business interruption arising from your use of Knight.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed the licence fees paid to us for your access in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
